You&#039;ll notice that the LiteSpeed Web Cache Manager, Redis Cache Manager, and a few other LiteSpeed tools have disappeared from cPanel.

We removed them across all our servers after a security advisory was published.

The LiteSpeed web server itself is running normally. Your sites, web caching, and email all work as normal, only the management buttons that allow you to tweak configuration inside cPanel are removed for now.

We&#039;ll enable end-user functionality back as soon as a fixed version is out. No action required in your side.</p>

Patched LiteSpeed version was installed everywhere. Full functionality is restored. If any issues arise, please contact our support team. .</p>

  Maintenance complete.

The backup infrastructure upgrade is completed across the whole fleet. JetBackup destinations are back online, and scheduled backups will resume on their normal cadence from the next run. Just in case, a manual backup has been triggered for all accounts.

The upgrade brings us to a modern OS and improves boot resilience on the storage backend. Nothing changes on your end. Backup creation, management, and restoration work exactly as before.

Any failed backups during the window have been excluded from your quota.

Should any problems arrise, please contact our support team.</p>
<p><small>May <var data-var='date'> 16</var>, <var data-var='time'>06:00:00</var> GMT+0</small><br /><strong>Identified</strong> -
We&#039;re upgrading our backup infrastructure to the latest version as part of our regular platform maintenance. This work helps us continue delivering reliable, modern backups across all hosting plans.

What to expect during the window

\- Scheduled and on-demand backups may fail and will not be created.

\- Existing backups will not be available for restoration.

\- Successful backup creation and successful restoration cannot be guaranteed during this period.

\- Any failed backups during the window will not count toward your backup quota.

We&#039;d advise against making any major changes during the maintenance window, particularly anything you might want to roll back afterwards (e.g., major plugin or theme updates, large content migrations, DNS changes, or significant configuration changes). If something like that is on your roadmap, please consider scheduling it for after the maintenance completes.

We don&#039;t anticipate any issues; this is routine work, and our team has prepared thoroughly. As a general best practice, however, if there are any backups you consider particularly important, we&#039;d suggest downloading a local copy beforehand for your own peace of mind.

You can do this any time before Saturday directly from cPanel under JetBackup → Full Account Backups (or any of the partial backup sections), using the Download option.

Upgrading our backup stack lets us provide faster restores, broader feature support, and improved reliability for everyone on the platform. We appreciate your patience while we put this in place..</p>

We will be migrating our outbound email infrastructure to MailChannels, a dedicated email delivery network. This upgrade improves email deliverability, availability, and protection against spam blocklisting for all clients.

For most users, no action is required. Clients on Managed Web Hosting packages are not affected. Changes have been applied automatically.

If your domain or application uses our mail servers directly (via hostname or IP), you may need to update your SPF DNS record before the maintenance window. Please refer to the notification email sent to your registered address for full instructions, or contact our support team.

Expected impact: Minimal. A brief delay in outbound email delivery is possible during the switchover.

Status updates will be posted here as the maintenance progresses..</p>

Overall, these improvements will strengthen performance and reliability for everyone using our Amsterdam location globally.

Because this migration involves the migration of facilities, we are expecting about a 90-minute downtime window on Wednesday, September 17th, somewhere between 11:00 - 17:00\.

We have received further information regarding the ongoing downtime with server **SI-FVM-0001**, which powers our **Free** Student VPS and Web Hosting service.

Due to **organizational changes at the current datacenter**, the server will likely need to be **migrated to a different facility**.

Unfortunately, this also means we will need to **secure a new sponsoring datacenter provider** for hosting. This is the main reason for the **extended downtime**, as we work to find a suitable and more sustainable solution.

At this time, we **do not have a confirmed timeline**. If the migration proceeds, instances will likely receive **new IP addresses**, and some downtime will be unavoidable during the transition.

All data is, of course, secure, and no breaches have happened. Simply, an unfortunate change of mind at the datacenter provider where the server resided.

If we are unable to secure a new facility in time, we will provide **exported VM images** to affected users so they can migrate their services elsewhere if needed.

We appreciate your understanding and will share further updates as soon as more information becomes available..</p>
<p><small>Jun <var data-var='date'> 28</var>, <var data-var='time'>14:10:42</var> GMT+0</small><br /><strong>Completed</strong> -
The maintenance period has concluded, but we regret to inform you that the virtual machines will not be coming back online.

Our hosting partner made the unexpected decision to cut both power and network access, without warning, negotiation, or even basic communication. This sudden move came even though the service was offered entirely free of charge, purely to support students and their work.

We’ve made full backups available from **15.6.2025**, and they’ll remain accessible for the next **30 days**.

While this chapter has come to an end, this is far from over. We’re already exploring better infrastructure partners—ones who understand the importance of reliability, especially when student success is on the line.

Thank you to everyone who used and supported the service. Whether it helped power your projects, gave you a leg up in your learning, or made your life just a bit easier, we’re proud of what we built, and we’ll be back, stronger and better aligned with our mission to _always_ support students..</p>

The server **SI-FVM-0001**, which hosts our **Free Student VPS and Web Hosting service**, is currently undergoing **unscheduled maintenance** by the **datacenter provider**. As this maintenance is not being performed by our team, we currently **do not have an estimated time of resolution**.

Please note that **this service is provided free of charge**, as stated during the ordering process, and therefore **does not fall under any SLA or uptime guarantee**.

We will share updates on this page as soon as we receive more information from the provider.

Thank you for your understanding and patience..</p>
